GOLDENHOUR

For pregnancy and the months after baby

An hour for you.

Golden Hour is my plan to help you feel supported and strong through pregnancy and the months after baby, in less than an hour a day. These seasons go by fast, and I want you to feel good in them.

Lia, pregnant, in golden hour light

Sixty minutes is only 4% of your day.

You deserve that, because you matter.

It doesn’t have to be all at once. Five minutes here, ten minutes there. A little gold here, a little sparkle there.

Some days the other 23 hours feel bleak and blah. Your golden hour is where you come for the shine.

Treat yourself to a golden hour.

Maybe this is you

You’re taking care of everyone. Your own body gets whatever’s left.

Your body feels heavy and slow, and you can’t keep up with your little ones the way you want to.
The scale is climbing faster than you expected, and you don’t know what’s normal anymore.
Your appointments keep bringing up your age or your BMI, and you leave feeling like a number.
You can’t remember the last time you had a few minutes that were just yours.
Food is loud. Some nights it’s the only thing that feels good.
You’re scared of a hard recovery, and you’re wondering if it’s already too late to start.

It’s not too late. You’re starting from right here, and right here counts. You don’t need a stricter plan. You need one that bends with your days, and someone in your corner.

Hi, I’m Lia

I gained 70 pounds in my last pregnancy.

I had never weighed over two hundred pounds in my life. With my first baby, I felt amazing and strong the whole time. So I thought my second would be the same. It wasn’t. I was sick all day, in bed, throwing up, and then I caught the flu and a cold I couldn’t take anything for. I couldn’t stand to be in my kitchen. Water made me want to throw up.

I could have spiraled. I didn’t, because of a few things I kept telling myself. I’ve never been this version of me before. I don’t have to love every part of this. And instead of asking how my body looked, I asked what she was doing for me, and what she needed today.

Some days that was a walk. Some days it was a real meal. Some days it was rest, on purpose, without guilt. Little things, day after day.

A year after that baby, I pulled out my old jeans, and they fit. I’m not telling you that as a promise about your body. I’m telling you because the way you feel today isn’t forever.

I’ve coached women for over ten years. I’m certified in personal training, nutrition, behavior change and life coaching, and I have a psychology degree. Golden Hour is everything I did for myself, and everything I’d tell you if you were sitting across from me.

Walking through this season with you is my honor.

xo, Lia

How it works

Your golden hour, built around how you feel today.

1

Check today’s forecast

Tell me how you’re feeling, honestly: sunny, stormy or somewhere in between.

2

Take your golden hour

Based on that, I suggest little acts of care for your body and your mind, spread through your day. Take what helps and swap what doesn’t.

3

Watch your sky fill up

Every bit of time you take for you shows up in your sky. On the days you can’t feel your progress, you can see it.

Try it. How are you feeling today?

What’s inside

Care for your body and your mind, every day.

Your mind

What’s loud today?

  • Tap what’s on your mind and I talk you through it, with a little reminder and one thing you can do right now.
  • A talk is part of your golden hour every day, matched to how you’re feeling.

Move your body

Movement is medicine. So is rest.

  • A daily walk is your base, with a goal that fits where you are.
  • Short strength sessions for when you feel up to it, with a video for every move.
  • Three levels, whether you’re new to moving or you were training before.
  • Gentle options for the low days, and breathing that works with your pelvic floor.

Feed yourself

It’s safe to eat.

  • How to eat right now, including when you can only stomach a few things.
  • A starting number for how much to eat, to share with your provider.
  • A craving planner for the evening pull.
  • The Kitchen: my library of 100+ quick, real-life meals.

Real-life fixes

What’s bugging you?

  • The random symptoms nobody warns you about, what helped me, and when to call your provider.
  • My playbook for each habit this season, so you know exactly what helps most right now.

Your beach bag

Everything I packed for you

  • My birth stories, the hopeful side you don’t hear enough.
  • Built for birth: the words that got me through labor, so you can pick yours.
  • Your hospital bag and recovery checklists.
  • A help list to send to the people who keep asking how they can help.
  • A letter to future you, opened after baby.
It goes with you

From your first trimester to about six months after baby.

When your baby comes, you tell me, and your golden hour changes with you: healing, rest, food and gentle movement once you’re cleared.

Pregnant

Your daily golden hour, movement that fits your body today, real-life food and the talks for the loud days.

Your fourth trimester

Rest, food, water and short walks. That’s the whole plan, and it’s a good one.

When you’re ready

Once you’re cleared and feeling more like yourself, usually around six to eight months, Level Up Your Body is where we go next.

Questions

A few things you might be wondering.

I’m already well into my pregnancy. Is it too late?

No. Every week from here is a chance to feel stronger, and that strength comes with you into recovery. You’re starting from right here, and right here counts.

Is this a pregnancy workout program?

Movement is one part of it. Golden Hour is care for your body and your mind together, because what most women need right now isn’t a harder workout. It’s a way to keep taking care of themselves while everything is changing.

Will this help me with how much I’m gaining?

You’re meant to gain. Your body is building a whole person. Golden Hour gives you a starting number for how much to eat, a simple way to build your meals, and tools for the cravings, so you can gain steadily and feel as good as you can. Ask your provider for the range that’s right for you.

I’m really sick right now. Will it still work for me?

That’s exactly who the stormy days are for. On a rough day your golden hour gets lighter: small bites, small sips, a lot of rest. A lighter day still counts.

I have little ones at home. Do I really have time?

That’s why it’s spread through your day. Five minutes here, ten minutes there. The stroller counts, and so does toddler pace.

I already had my baby. Can I still join?

Yes. Golden Hour goes through about six months after baby. Set your baby’s birthday when you come in, and your golden hour shifts to healing, rest and gentle movement once you’re cleared.

How do I use it?

On your phone, tablet or computer, in your browser or the Kajabi app. Save it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

These seasons go by fast.

I want you to feel good in them. Come take your golden hour.
